I got a new drumset!

There are many different versions of sizes posted on the net, and finally Tama updated it to the real sizes. They are fast toms, 8x7, 10x8, 12x9,14x11,16x13,22x18, and 14x6 snare. Tama just released the Omni-tune bubinga sets that are more expensive, but look worse. They do have a unique tuning system, but they don't do it for me like the Red Vikings do.

Great set man!
i've recently played a gorgeous TAMA starclassic drumset at some gig.Sounded just great.
YOu didn't have that annoying difference between tom toms and bass drums,that you get with Pearl and Yam.
Very balanced sound.
I think TAMA makes some of the very best sounding instruments out there.They're so underrated,i'll never understand why.Maybe too 'rock' related.

My next kit will be a TAMA.

I have the kit at home, I need to put my crud Cadeson kit in storage. The kit arrived safe and sound. GC packed it to death with probably 50-70 dollars of peanuts and multiple wraps of bubbles. It looks even more crazy at home. I am spending the night with it.

The only gig I'm gonna use it on is the Almuni Drummer Night with the VA Tech Jazz Orchestra April 28th. Wes Crawford will be there, he did the Playalong DVD that's out with Gary Grainger. Oh, too much name dropping---I'm not in LA anymore!!!!! LOL

I am so happy! My next kit will be made of the Mars Excavation Birch logs brought back by the NASA space mission I am funding. 8 plys of the space birch, with an outer ply of Noah's Ark wood. [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]
